Join us this Sunday evening for our first SFRRC Film Festival. We will be watching what we believe to be some of the most inspirational/motivating movies (or shorts) out there on our wonderful sport.
Our pace group leader, Ned Lerner, and Club Ambassador, Victor Hasemen, are the co-founders of
Hearo Live (so we'll be using one of our own products, so to speak). You watch on your computer, but we all get to watch it together. It's a super cool technology!! We'll send the link on Sunday afternoon.
Registration has closed, but this is the dedicated link (join us!!):
Our line-up may morph this week, but, in order, these are the movies we will watch:
The Sky Project
Follow US Olympian in the Marathon Magda Boulet as she attempts to set the Fastest Known Time (FKT) on the 172-mile Tahoe Rim Trail. It's a wonderful 16-minute movie.
Bob & Marion
Super uplifting 5-minute movie short of two nearly 80 year-old runners and how their love of running has not diminished.
Eliud
A 10-minute short film from inside Eliud Kipchoge's training camp, that explores the philosophies that have made him the greatest marathon runner of all time.
WHERE DREAMS GO TO DIE - Gary Robbins and The Barkley Marathons
The popular 1-hour and 10-minute movie of a professional runner's journey... emotional, powerful and truly inspirational. If you haven't seen (or very likely heard of the Barkley Marathons) it's extremely intriguing.
